Being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) shouldn’t mean that your clothes are dull, shabby, or neglected. There is a notion that when you stay at home you don’t need to have an uplifting appearance or anything trendy. These stay at home mom wardrobe essentials will spruce up your collection and your style
The truth is some stay-at-home moms work from home, have outside errands (supermarket, going to the park, going for lunch, etc.), and even being at home indoors is a reason to look presentable for yourself to harness positive mental health.
Here are 5 wardrobe capsule essentials for work at home moms/stay at home moms to maintain a presentable appearance.
These are quite important for SAHM’s as they pair well with just about anything (plain jeans or t-shirts) while still allowing you to look well put together. Outwear pieces are often described as toppers. These include blazers, cotton cardigans, and denim jackets.
2. Amped-up T-Shirt:
This is graduating from an ordinary t-shirt to one that’s more of a refined blouse like a roomy sleeveless, waved sleeve, or scoop neck definitions. This will create an added spark to your everyday look.
3. Out with the leggings:
Leggings are a quick and easy go-to but at this point it’s time to change it up a bit. Ponte pants are a great alternative to leggings. They fit similar but the details are more pant-like enhancing your look with polished perfection and sure comfort. Jeggings are also another quick go-to option to replace leggings and still look chic.
4. Dark-colored Denim:
Having dark-colored denim is a key essential for a SAHM wardrobe. This is because they are versatile and quickly give the classy attire you desire. Dark-colored denim is easily dressed up or down and can be paired with just about anything.
5. Shoe upgrade:
A shoe upgrade is beyond important and refined pairs of shoes are your new selection. Refined shoes are ones that are womanly with great style and sophistication. Go for shoes with block heels (enough to give a lift but remain comfortable), the less bulky sneakers, and a tan shoe that affords neutrality.
These are pretty much what I wear at home. Being a stay at home mom doesn't mean being frumpy. Being put together is self care and self love.
Until next time
