Paneer Potato Bites

Paneer is a fresh, non-melting cheese commonly used in South Asian cuisine, especially in Indian dishes. Made by curdling milk with a food acid like lemon juice or vinegar, paneer has a firm texture and a mild, milky flavor that absorbs the spices and sauces it is cooked with.

Paneer snacks

It is a versatile ingredient featured in various dishes, such as Paneer Tikka, where it is marinated and grilled, or Palak Paneer, where it is simmered in a spiced spinach sauce. Paneer's ability to hold its shape when cooked makes it a popular choice for vegetarian meals, offering a delightful and nutritious addition to curries, snacks, and even desserts.

Easy Paneer recipe

Paneer became especially popular in northern India, particularly in Punjab and Bengal, where it was integrated into both everyday and festive dishes.

In Punjabi cuisine, paneer is often marinated and grilled or cooked in rich, spiced gravies, such as in dishes like paneer tikka and palak paneer.

In Bengal, it is known as "chenna" and is used in both savory and sweet dishes, such as the famous dessert rasgulla.

The adaptability of paneer has allowed it to become a staple in Indian kitchens, used in a variety of dishes ranging from curries and kebabs to snacks and desserts.

It's ability to absorb flavors from spices and sauces, while maintaining its own mild taste and firm texture, makes it a versatile ingredient.
